Uveitis

Models:

  • Experimental Autoimmune Uveitis (EAU)
  • Endotoxin-induced uveitis (EIU) (slight/moderate or severe inflammation)
  • Allergic anterior uveitis: ocular anaphylaxis models on sensitized animals (IVT rabbit anti-BGG serum) followed by challenge (iv BGG injection)

Applications:

  • Acute anterior uveitis
  • Posterior and pan-uveitis

Administration: all ocular administrations

 

Animals: rats, rabbits

 

Evaluations:

  • Slip Lamp ocular examination
  • Histology
  • Aqueous humor sampling (protein assay, polymorphonuclear cells counting, cytokine assay)


Reference substances: cyclosporine A, dexamethasone, ketorolac, methyl-prednisolone
