PRECLINICAL EFFICACY MODELS:

  • Endotoxin-induced uveitis (EIU) (slight, moderate or severe inflammation)
  • Intraocular surgery and cataract surgery (phacoemulsification or intra/extracapsular)
  • Paracentesis-induced anterior inflammation
  • Experimental autoimmune uveitis (EAU)
  • Mycobacteruim Tuberculosis-induced posterior uveitis

 

EXAMPLE OF EVALUATIONS:

  • Inflammation quantification (laser flare meter)
  • Clinical scoring (slit lamp ocular examination)
  • Biomarker levels (eg. ELISA, multiplex assay)
  • Retinal inflammation (histological analysis)
