Iris Pharma offers the partial or global performance of preclinical studies for our clients. We propose pharmacologic studies in animals to investigate the method of action and effects of a substance in the eye, as well as highly controlled Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) studies to determine the ocular safety, tolerance, pharmacokinetics, and toxicokinetics of test drugs and devices.
We use state-of-the-art ophthalmology equipment, including optical coherence tomography (OCT), to perform experiments in our own GLP-compliant facilities (more information). Our preclinical laboratory staff is trained for micro-dissection of ocular samples, as well as surgical administration and implantation of ophthalmic drugs and devices.
